The northern most inhabited place of India, bordering Tibet is Leh. The land where snow, sun and silence prevail and time seems to stand still. Lands abound with majestic mountains; land where human bows to the bounty of natural beauty and rigidity, land with vast mountain ranges, clear blue skies and the Indus River flowing by. A mixture of Buddhism and Islam, with monasteries and festivities, Leh is the place for exploration and adventure as well.
 Day 01 DelhiArrive and transfer to Hotel for overnight stay. Day 02 Delhi - Leh Transfer to airport to board flight to Leh. Transfer to hotel.Overnight stay at hotel. Day 03 Leh Morning visit the famous Monastries, it is interesting to visit early morning to enjoy the praying ceremony at the Monasteries- Hemis Monastery, Thikshey Monastery and on return visit the Shey Palace.Afternoon sightseeing in the town-visit Shankar Gompa, the Leh Palaceand the Museum. Walk around the Leh town later.Evening is spent at the horse Polo grounds watching a thrilling game of horse Polo.Overnight stay at Hotel. Day 04 Leh Full day excursion of Monasteries visiting Spituk, Phyang, Leh Mosque, Leh Gompa and Shankar Gompa.Evening visit the Leh bazar.Overnight stay at hotel. Day 05 Leh - Srinagar Transfer to airport to board flight to SrinagarArrive and transfer to Hotel or Dal Lake to check in at Deluxe house boat.Afternoon Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty of the city which is often compared to Venice.Overnight stay at the Deluxe  house boat.
Day 06 Srinagar Full day visit to Gulmarg which is one of the most beautiful summer resort in the valley. It has the highest Golf Course in the world. Enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. Enjoy Gondola ride (cable car - subject to availability) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg.Overnight stay at Deluxe house boat.  Day 07 Srinagar - Delhi - Agra Morning half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (the garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (abode of love).Transfer to airport to board flight to Delhi, upon arrival Delhi airport, transfer to Agra. Arrival at Agra check- in at hotel for overnight stay. Day 08 Agra Morning visit Fatehpur - Sikri (40 kms. From Agra) - once the capital of Mughal Empire and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Its fortifications and Palaces are in a wonderful state of preservation.After early lunch visit the World famous Taj Mahal, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in the year 1652 as a memorial for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years to create this jewel.Agra Fort - four successive rulers helped create this massive fort.Overnight at hotel. Day 09 Agra - Delhi Morning leave by road for Delhi.Arrive and after early lunch half day city tour of New Delhi. Drive past President House, Parliament House (House of Representatives) and India Gate - War Memorial (stop for photography), Qutab Minar - 72.55 meters, high Victory Tower, onto Bahai Temple (lotus temple), Humayun's Tomb- built of red sandstone and is a first substantial example of the Mughal architecture, Laxmi Narayan Temple - a modern Hindu temple built by the Birlas, leading Indian industrialist.After dinner at Hotel Radisson / Vasant Continental or in the city restaurant, departure transfer to international airport to fly back home / onward destination |
