North East is the most beautiful Eco Tourism destination in South Asia. It is a true hidden Jewel and is a place of magical beauty and bewildering diversity. Dominated by the mighty rivers with myriad moods and habitat of the more than 165 tribes; northeast is an explorers', nature lovers' and adventure seekers' paradise. Comprising of seven states, Assam is the gateway to the splendour of natural abundance. The Brahmaputra River, born from a legend that begins its sweep on the high plateau of Tibet and travels down to empty itself into the Bay of Bengal, is the mightiest of all. But for anglers Kameng & Siang Rivers are the best spots to take the priced and guaranteed catch of Masheer, which has many a variety, like the Chocolate Masheer and the Jhunga. Add a little spice by angling in a rubber float floating down stream on the confluence of rivers and also fishing in the narrow gorges and in the Rocky River beds.
