The valley of Flowers, a natural wonder, declared as protected national Park, came into lime light only in the 1930s. The vibrancy of colours and fragrance that is found in abundance here is what allures tourists from all
over the world. This unique rock garden, the Valley of Flowers, of Garhwal is full of the most fascinating,
fabulous and rich variety of flowering herbs. According to the legends, the Valley of Flowers has been
associated spiritually with the name of 'Hanuman', the legendary hero of Ramayana, the great Indian epic. This
itinerary is specially designed for those who would like to combine adventure and beauty of nature.
Day 01. Delhi
Arrive and transfer to Hotel for overnight stay at Hotel. Day 02.Delhi
Morning half day city tour of Old Delhi visiting Raj Ghat - The Mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi. Jama Masjid - the
biggest Mosque in India and drive past Red Fort and tricycle tour of Chandini Chowk.
Afternoon half day city tour of New Delhi visiting drive past President House, Parliament House (House of
Representatives) and India Gate - War Memorial (stop for photography), Qutab Minar - 72.55 meters, high Victory
Tower, onto Bahai Temple (lotus temple) Humayun's Tomb- built of red sandstone and is a first substantial
example of the Mughal architecture, Laxmi Narayan Temple - a modern Hindu temple built by Birlas, a leading
Indian industrialist company.
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03. Delhi-Rishikesh
Morning transfer to New Delhi Railway station to leave by Shatabdi Express for Haridwar.
Arrive and transfer to Rishikesh and Checkin at Hotel GLASS HOUSE or similar. Day at leisure to visit Haridwar.
AfterDinner meet the crew and tour leader for a briefing on the trekking trip.
Day 04. Rishikesh-Joshimath
Early morning drive to Joshimath (1875 mtrs.)(9-10 hrs.drive) stay at Hotel GMVAN TOURIST BUNGLOW \ HOTEL
DRONAGIRI Lunch en route. Of special scenic interests are orchards of apples, appricots, peaches, lemons,
spread all over the route.
Day 05. Joshimath-Govindghat-Ghangaria
After early breakfast drive to Govindghat(1828 mtrs.) (01 hrs.drive). Arrive and start trek to Ghangaria (3048
mtrs.)(5-6 hrs.trek)-a small hamlet situated on the confluence of Alaknanda & Laxman Ganga. The entire trek is
along the roaring Laxman Ganga. Stay overnight at Camp.
Day 06.Ghangaria-Valley of Flowers-Ghangaria
After breakfast trek to Valley of Flowers (4-5 hrs.trek). The valley is surrounded by the river Pushparati and small streams is about 10 kms. In length and 2 kms in width at the height of 3500-3900 mtrs. After encountering
rare flowers e.g. Brahm Kamal, Blue Poppy, Potentilla and hundreds of other varities back to Ghangaria (4-5
hrs. trek). Stay overnight at Camp.
Day. 07Ghangaria-Hemkund Lake-Ghangaria
After breakfast trek to Hemkund(4329 mtrs.) (3 & half hrs.drive) one of the finest high latitude lakes in the
area and pilgrimage place for sikhs as well as Hindus. On a clear day one can see the panoramic view of
mountain peaks and the valley. A crystal clear lake is surrounded by four peaks. One can encounter some of the
flowers on this strech as well. After exploring the area trek down to Ghangaria (3 & half - 4 hrs.trek).
Stay overnight at Camp.
Day. 08Ghangaria-Govindghat-Badrinath
Morning trek down to Govindghat(5-6 hrs.trek) and from there drive to Badrinath (3133 mtrs.) one of the four
most important pilgrimage for Hindus (2 hrs.drive) stay at hotel.
Day. 09 Badrinath-Auli
Morning drive to Auli (3030 mtrs.) the newest and the best ski spot, with 500 mtrs.long ski-lift, the longest
in the country with its 5 kms. Long and 2 kms wide slope. From Auli one can see Mt. Nananda Devi (7717 mtrs),
and other peaks and stay overnight at CLIFF TOP RESORT at Auli.
Day. 10 Auli-Joshimath-Rishikesh
Morning drive to Rishikesh (8-10 hrs. drive).Enroute Joshimath. Arrive and transfer to Railway Station at
Haridwar to leave by Shatabdi Express at 1700 hrs. BY AC Executive class (Dinner on Board) Arrive Delhi at 2240
hrs. and transfer to Hotel for overnight stay.
Day. 11Delhi

Day. 12Delhi-Agar-Delhi
Full day visit to Agra to witness the World famous Taj Mahal , built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in the year
1652 as a memorial for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years to create this jewel. Agra Fort -four
successive rulers helped create this massive fort. Tomb of Itmad-ud-daullah- built by Empress Noorjehan in
memory of her father.
Overnight stay at Delhi hotel.
Day. 13 Delhi
Day at leisure or visit the state emporiums to buy souveniers.
Transfer to International Airport to fly back home\onward destination
